This is the original, made with reclaimed bamboo that came from a tree planting that Mike and Teresa Carey did when they were landscaping the house in Nanaimo.

Replacement bamboo from the garden center at Coombs Country store (Goats on Roof). Was a nice drive down to pick it up and a nicer drive back on the ocean route with take-out lunch on the beach at Qualicum Beach.

Setting up to cut to length!

The verticals drilled so that the horizontal is in locked in place.

Set up and locked down!

Top caps turned and placed to keep rain out of the tops.

Straps jerry-rigged to hold the wire in place made from plumbers strapping.

This time I used strapping to hold it in place on the planter. Last time I used screws that went through the bamboo, and caused it to crack up over time.
